Grant filing authority for a filing to a party or organization
This function allows an issuer or an organization that created a filing to grant (give ‘secondary access’) another organization authority to maintain/view the submitted specific filing.
The organization or user that is to be given access to the filing must already have authority over both the issuer profile and the applicable filing role (e.g. securities offerings). If not, refer to ‘Request authority for an existing profile’.
The CSA Service Desk may also grant another organization or user authority over a specific filing in the circumstance where the organization that created the filing cannot be contacted via the Request authority process (e.g. filing agent that created the filing is no longer in business).
Example:
Sue Filer created the ‘NI 44-101 Notice of Intent’ for 123 INC. and can grant authority over this filing to Bill at ABC Filing Agency.
From 123 INC’s profile, Sue views the filings, selects the ‘NI 44-101 Notice of Intent’, ‘Actions’, ‘Grant filing authority for a filing’. Sue searches for the organization (ABC Filing agency) then the user (Bill Symthe) and selects ‘Submit’.
All users for ABC Filing Agency that have authority over 123 INC’s profile and have the applicable filing role (in this case ‘securities offerings’) are able to maintain the filing and grant authority for this filing to another organization.
